Role overview
The job profile of Site Safety Supervisor for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) ensures all installations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) meet technical specs and strict health/safety/environmental (HSE) rules, involving regular site checks, coordinating teams, managing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations for MEP works (e.g., electrical safety, working at heights, confined spaces).
- Conduct daily/regular checks for unsafe conditions or practices, rectifying them immediately
- Maintain safety reports, daily logs, quality checks, and project documentation.
- Investigate incidents, provide first aid, arrange emergency response, and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and project managers for smooth execution and issue resolution.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education: B.E. / B. Tech. or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with an additional qualification in Industrial Safety, such as ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) or certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
Experience: 2 – 3 years of relevant experience of MEP projects in Pharma/ Cleanroom/ Li-Ion Battery / Solar/ Semiconductor industries shall be preferred
Knowledge: Strong understanding of national safety regulations, local codes
