Role overview
A highly accomplished Project Procurement Manager with proven expertise in executing procurement strategies for large-scale HVAC/Clean Room/Indoor Climate Control EPC projects. The ideal professional should bring strong technical understanding, global sourcing experience, contract management expertise, and hands-on involvement in complex industrial megaprojects to niche industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Food & FMCG, Solar, Electronics & Semi-Conductor, Automobile & Tyre, Li-Ion Battery manufacturing, Warehousing, R&D Labs, Data Centres etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) /LSTK (Lump Sum Turnkey) projects.
- Lead, mentor & supervise procurement professionals across locations.
- Vendor Management, identify, evaluate, and prequalify vendors, global Sourcing. Build strong relationships with OEMs, contractors, local and international suppliers.
- Lead sourcing for critical packages, long lead items and major equipment.
- Drive RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiation strategies, and finalization. Manage contractual risks, claims mitigation, delivery terms, and price agreements
- Oversee logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding & delivery timelines.
- Work closely with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, Construction & Project Controls teams.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education: B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Full time)
Experience: 10+ years of procurement experience in specialized industrial projects like Pharma/ Cleanroom/ Solar/ Semiconductor / Data centers shall be preferred
Knowledge: Well conversant with SCM in MEP systems (HVAC, Clean Room, Indoor Climate Control, HT/LT, DG, UPS, Fire, BMS) and relevant codes/standards. Familiarity with ERP procurement modules.
